The church begins November with the feasts of All Saints and All Souls.
In our parish we have traditionally regarded the entire month as a time of remembrance for our beloved deceased. We end November by celebrating Thanksgiving and the beginning of the Advent season.
During November, while we still endure the effects of the pandemic, we will sing a new peaceful and prayerful version of the Lord’s Prayer. We dedicate this prayer to the memory of those we have lost to death, and we pray for those in our world who suffer in so many ways.
This piece was suggested several years ago by our young people who were inspired by it during their trips to Notre Dame University in Indiana.
Listen to these versions of “The Lord’s Prayer.”
