Faith Formation classes are going to start soon for kindergarten through sixth grade and junior and senior high school students.
The K-6 program begins on Sunday, Sept. 27. Packets have been mailed to parents.
The junior-senior high school program begins in November. Information has been sent to parents. Seventh- and eighth-grade students will have classes with our neighboring area parishes from 12:15 to 1:45 p.m. on Sundays at Mount Carmel / Blessed Sacrament.
For ninth- and 10th-graders, the program will be explained at a required parent meeting. Meeting dates are listed HERE. Class schedules will ONLY be given at the meeting. The new schedule allows for many opportunities to take the classes at your convenience.
Please remember that if your child is going to receive First Communion, it is a two-year process. Children are required by the diocese and our parish to attend a full year of Faith Formation classes or attend a parochial school as a first-grader before they can begin their formal preparation to receive the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion as a second-grader.
Our Confirmation program is a two-year program beginning in ninth grade. Teens are required by the diocese and our parish to attend two years of Faith Formation classes, a retreat and Direct Prep (or if you attend a Catholic school — then there are different requirements) in order to receive the sacrament.
