Everyone who is a liturgical minister — such as Eucharist ministers, choir members/instrumentalists, sacristans, adult altar servers, lectors, ushers, greeters and homebound ministers — must take the Safe Environment Training course to continue in their ministry.
Please note: If you have already taken the Virtus training, then you do not have to do it again until your recertification is due.
Our parish has two training sessions that will be offered in the Scalabrini Center. For those who need their initial training, the session will take place at 12:15 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 27. Training for those who need to be recertified takes place at 12:15 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25.
To attend a session, you can register online at https://syracusediocese.org/safe-environment. If you can’t attend the sessions in our parish, you can choose another date and location online.
