Bishop Douglas Lucia is reminding everyone about the need to say “AMEN” when we receive the Eucharistic bread and wine. The word “amen” does not mean “OK.” It does not mean “thank you.”
The word “AMEN” means: “I BELIEVE.”
When receiving Holy Communion, saying AMEN is a public declaration of faith that you believe in what you are receiving.
