Pat Morrissey is the 2024 recipient of the diocese’s Immaculata Award from our parish. He received the award Sunday, Dec. 8, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Syracuse.

The Immaculata Award honors the lay men and women who volunteer in their parishes and beyond. The recipients are nominated by their parish or pastor to receive this award in recognition of their service in the name of the Lord.

Pat works alongside our parish buildings and grounds caretaker, and volunteers tirelessly at the festival and other events.

“This parish means everything to me,” Pat said in a “More Good News” article in 2022. “I got married here, my kids made all of the sacraments here, and it is the place that I have always worshipped my God.

“Volunteering for the festival and working alongside the buildings and grounds caretaker is the least I could do for this parish after all it has done for me. I will always feel like I can and should be doing more for my parish and I will continue to do anything that is asked of me by my fellow parishioners and Father.”
