Jim Krisher, founder and director emeritus of the Spiritual Renewal Center in Syracuse, will give a presentation on “Awe & Amazement: The Glory of God,” at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 19, in the Salerno Room.

The vision of the prophet Isaiah is one of the most dramatic mystical moments in the Hebrew scriptures, the Old Testament. It tells of an encounter between the prophet and the God of the universe that calls all of us to see all of reality as infused with the divine Presence. Jim will lead us in uncovering the message of this vision and its importance for our own relationship with God today.
Jim received his bachelor’s degree in religion from Syracuse University and his master’s in theology from Boston College. He served as an adjunct professor of theology at Le Moyne College for 40 years and as an instructor of first-year Jesuit novices for 25 years at St. Andrew Hall novitiate in Syracuse.
