Parish to pay about $1 million toward $100 million sex-abuse settlement
Father Jim announced during weekend Masses of July 29 and 30 that our parish must pay about $1 million toward the $100 million sex-abuse settlement in the Diocese of Syracuse. He said the money will come out of about $2 million the parish has in investments and hopes to recoup that money in two to three years, depending on what the stock market does.
