Gallery: Parish’s 10th golf tournament attracts about 120
The 10th Mount Carmel / Blessed Sacrament Golf Tournament teed off Sunday, Aug. 27, at Twin Ponds Golf and Country Club in New York Mills. About 120 people participated in the tourney that was started by Father Jim in 2013. They were treated to a beautiful day with clouds in the morning and sun in the afternoon with mild temperatures.

Parish to pay about $1 million toward $100 million sex-abuse settlement
Father Jim announced during weekend Masses of July 29 and 30 that our parish must pay about $1 million toward the $100 million sex-abuse settlement in the Diocese of Syracuse. He said the money will come out of about $2 million the parish has in investments and hopes to recoup that money in two to three years, depending on what the stock market does.
