The annual Communion Brunch, presented by the Mount Carmel Society, drew 110 people on Sunday, Oct. 19, to Monarch Banquets in Yorkville. The Rev. Joe Ryan, who was ordained this summer, was the guest speaker who detailed his journey from would-be politician to priesthood. Brunch included bruschetta chicken, bacon, potatoes, hats, waffles and more.
