The 2026 St. Mary of Mount Carmel / Blessed Sacrament Parish Italian Festival opened on Friday, July 17, under beautiful sunny blue skies and warm temperatures. People lined up for the food tent and Flea Market a half hour before the 5 p.m. opening. Of course, people also lined up for our famous pizza fritta. Entertainment on the weekend was provided by Frank Cannistra and daughter, Anthony LaBarbara Quartet, Last Left and the Red Band. Our Lady of Mount Carmel was honored at the 11 a.m. Mass Sunday and with the traditional procession around the parish grounds where benediction was offered at the Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
