More than 100 people attended the annual Communion Brunch on Sunday, Oct. 20, at Monarch Banquets in Yorkville. The event was sponsored by the Mount Carmel Society. Sister Amanda, a young nun and nurse originally from Philadelphia, was the guest speaker. She ministers at Thea Bowman House and the DeSales Center. The meal consisted of scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, ham, hats, rice, chicken, waffles and more.
