Although many organizations give out food to those in need, the recipients rarely have the means to open the cans. So, our junior high Faith Formation class decided to start the Can Opener Challenge.
A committee of ninth- and 10th-grade students are looking for your help to collect can openers for those in need this holiday season. Our challenge is from Nov. 23 through Dec.7. We ask you to leave new and unused can openers at the St. Joseph’s altar in church near the Jay Street entrance.
