Buona Fortuna tickets on sale; Flea Market items; cookies requested

The annual Italian Festival returns in July with pizza fritta, food, drinks, entertainment, souvenirs, flea market, Buona Fortuna raffle for $10,000 and more.

  • Friday, July 17: 5 to 10 p.m.
  •  Saturday, July 18: 5 to 10 p.m.
  •  Sunday, July 19: Noon to 3 p.m.

It’s time to purchase your Buona Fortuna ticket

The Buona Fortuna raffle is underway.

Tickets are $20. The grand prize is $10,000, second prize $2,500 and third prize $1,000. The drawing will take place on the final day of the parish festival on Sunday, July 20.

You may purchase tickets after each Sunday Mass, at the Wednesday novena or at the parish office from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.  

Ticket sellers are needed to make the raffle a success. Call Leigh D’Agostino at 315-737-5965 to reserve a packet of tickets to sell. Remember, all ticket sellers who return 20 paid tickets by July 17 are entitled to a free ticket.

Items requested for festival’s Flea Market

It’s spring, a time to clean and make room for new purchases.

Don’t forget our annual Flea Market at the Parish Festival. All proceeds benefit our church, Scalabrini Center and rectory. This year’s festival in honor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel will take place Friday through Sunday, July 17-19.

Please begin to set aside items/donations. Drop-offs will be in the gym parking lot entrance during June and July. Here is the schedule:

  • Every Monday in June and July 6 and 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Every Thursday in June and July 2 and 9 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Every Saturday in June and July 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Items we will gladly accept:

(Please NO broken, chipped, moldy or damaged items.)

  • Glasses, dishes, glasses, mugs
  • Pots and Pans
  • Appliances-toasters, mixers, blenders, coffee pots and etc.
  • Household items-lamps, knick-knacks, artwork, vases, candles and etc.
  • Linens, towels, curtains, throw pillows, comforters, bedding, sheets, etc.
  • Holiday decorations: Valentine’s Day, Easter, Fourth of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas
  • Religious items
  • Books: Children’s. religious, cookbooks
  • Small Furniture: Tables, chairs, stools, bookshelves, TV stands
  • Children’s toys, games, puzzles (Please make sure to rubber band and be sure it includes all pieces.)
  • Children Furniture-High chairs, play pens, walkers and strollers
  • Frames and mirrors
  • Jewelry and jewelry boxes

Items not accepted:

  • VCR movies
  • Audio cassettes or 8-tracks
  • Textbooks
  • Computers or printers
  • Clothing or shoes
  • Stuffed animals

Homemade cookies needed for the Cafe

Once again, we are asking for your delicious homemade cookies to be sold at the Cafe during our festival weekend. All cookies can be brought at 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, to the Salerno Room or from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to the parish office. If you have questions, contact Mary Rose Leone at 315-527-4711.
