The Mount Carmel / Blessed Sacrament Social Ministry and the Italian Heritage Club invite people of all ages as we celebrate “Carnevale” (Mardis Gras, Italian style).

Activities begin at 10 a.m. and end at noon, Saturday, Feb. 21, in the Mount Carmel gymnasium.  Admission is free and includes beverages, a string of Carnevale beads, a mask-making craft with all materials, mask and coloring contests, dancing and a grand Carnevale parade.

Chiacchiere — sweet ribbons of fried dough, a traditional Carnevale sweet — will be on sale with all proceeds going to Hospice Palliative Care.

Registration is required. Sign up on the list at the back of the church after Mass, or call the Carnevale Committee at 315-542-2144 before Wednesday, Feb. 18.
