The final Safe Environment Training session of the year in our parish will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18, in the Salerno Room.
Bishop Lucia has indicated to all parishes that every person who is a liturgical minister — such as Eucharist ministers, choir members/instrumentalists, sacristans, adult altar servers, lectors, ushers, greeters and homebound ministers — must take the two-hour Safe Environment Training course to continue in their ministry.
This will be phased in over a year with everyone completing the training by Sept 30, 2026, except for Eucharist ministers who need to complete their training by the end of the year.
Please note: If you have already taken the Virtus training, then you do not have to do it again until your recertification is due.
