More than 50,000 Afghan refugees are being airlifted into the United States from a real-life nightmare situation — and many of them will be coming to Utica.
Relief kits are being distributed directly to these refugees — and you can help these people in desperate need.
Parishioner Sarah Trunfio is taking orders for these emergency hygiene kits that will be used for the Afghan refugees who are coming to our area. Each kit is $25 and contains a supply of personal care items along with instructions. They include:
- Teatree Touch.
- Adhesive bandages.
- Deep Blue Rub.
- Shampoo and conditioner.
- If you’re interest in donating $25 for a kit, contact Sarah via email at email@example.com or by phone at 315-345-5470. Venmo or PayPal are accepted. Checks or cash should be put in an envelope marked AFGHAN REFUGEES and placed in the collection or dropped off from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday at the parish office. Anyone who would like a receipt should provide contact information for it to be mailed to them.
You’ve seen the images on television. This is your chance to help people who really are in need trying to make a new home in a strange land.
