Walk for Mary’s Children
Walk for Mary’s Children Along with the festivities of the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, we have a procession following the 10:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday, July 21. We dedicate this walk to Mary’s children and concentrate on feeding the hungry children in our area. We ask anyone who wishes to help with this cause to bring in nonperishable food geared toward children: granola bars, juice boxes, individual puddings and fruit, jam, jelly, peanut butter, crackers, cereal, etc. You may bring them to the novena or leave them at our Outreach Niche.
The gym will be open for parishioners to drop off their treasures for our annual Flea Market at the festival. The schedule for drop-offs will be 9 a.m. to noon weekdays and after the 10:30 a.m. Mass Sunday until 1 p.m. Please follow these guidelines: no large appliances, no clothing, no shoes, nothing broken or soiled. Please be sure your items are reuseable (gently used). We ask you not to browse when you are in the gym. If you have any questions, call Alicia D’Ambrosio at 315-982-4294.
Ribbons Honor Blessed Mother
Honor Our Lady of Mount Carmel with a ribbon at the outdoor shrine honoring our patroness where we stop by to say a prayer pay tribute to her. During the festival, the shrine is decorated with flowers and ribbons that are donated in memory of a loved one. If you wish to memorialize a loved one by purchasing a $5 ribbon, stop by the parish office or call Rose Marie Chiffy at 315-735-6832.
