Our livestream Mass is back; thanks for your patience

It’s been a long time coming, but our livestream Mass is back.

The 11 a.m. Sunday Mass will be livestreamed on our YouTube channel. If you don’t know how to find it, click on YOUTUBE near the top of our website page. It also is available on the top of the right column on the home page.

Livestreaming also is available for weddings and funerals.

Several months ago, the computer that livestreamed the Mass died. We ordered a new one, which took several weeks to arrive. Once that was set up, we learned it didn’t work. So, we sent that back and ordered new equipment specifically for livestreaming. That, again, took a while to be delivered and set up.

There are several people to thank.

First, Roseanne George who donated the new equipment in memory of her sister Regina.

Special thanks to John Hussey, a tech genius who gave his time, talent and equipment in generous portions to get the stream running. John operates the livestream at a Baptist church in Rome. He came to our parish many times free of charge to get our livestream online.

Another thank you to Lyle Shorey, who has volunteered to stream Mass. Lyle was fully initiated into the Catholic Church during our Easter Vigil last year and now is a member of our parish along with his wife, who is becoming a Eucharistic Minister.

Others are being trained, so we hopefully will have a team to share the burden. If you are interested in helping, contact Anne Elacqua at 315-941-7447.
