Mass intentions now being offered in addition to Prayer Remembrances

Last Updated on November 7, 2024 by Editor

The Diocese of Syracuse, beginning on the First Sunday of Advent (Dec. 1), will implement a Mass intentions policy in all its parishes, including at Mount Carmel / Blessed Sacrament.

This DOES NOT AFFECT our parish’s Prayer Remembrances, which still can be submitted as we have done for years via the Prayer Remembrance envelope with a suggested donation of $5. Please remember that Prayer Remembrances must be submitted two weeks prior to the date you wish to have them offered.

If you wish to have a specific intention offered at Mass that will be read aloud by Father Jim during Mass, you MUST CALL the parish office at 315-735-1482. The diocese suggests a $15 offering per intention.

Up to five intentions can be offered during Masses at 8:30 a.m. Thursdays and Fridays, and 8 and 11 a.m. Sundays. Please note that when selecting these Mass times, you agree to combine your intention with other intentions.

Intentions will be placed on a list and scheduled based on the availability of Masses. Twice a month, one of the Sunday Masses will be offered for all parishioners.

If you have any questions, call Terri Panuccio at the parish office.
