Father Rose speaks on aging
Have you noticed that we are living longer and might be experiencing a better quality of life than our predecessors?
Aging need not be viewed as a time of diminishment, but as an intentional time to harvest all our life experiences and explore the spiritual invitations of this second coming of age.
In that vein, the Rev. John Rose will present a program titled “Spiritual Wisdom in Our Aging Years” at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, in the Salerno Room. Refreshments and hospitality will be served at 9:30 and after the presentation. The event is free, but reservations are requested. Call the parish office at 315-735-1482 or Re Chiffy at 315-735-6832.
Father Rose served as our pastor from 2003-2009. He is a 1964 graduate of New Hartford High School and is celebrating his 50th year as a priest. He is retired and is enjoying his wisdom years.
The soul, like fine wine, must be properly aged and tended to so it can yield its wisdom in our later years. If you are in the third season of your life, come to be awakened to a vision of spiritual eldering and how to become a wise elder.
